Slam burgers are very tasty, better than the average burger. Reasonable prices. Motif is grit American grit with a memorial dedicated to our fallen US Navy Seals. My favorite place to hang when I'm in San Diego

The staff are always friendly. The beer selection is good, you should always be able to find something you like.
It is a small bar with even a smaller grill off in the corner. There is only one cook so if it is busy lunch can take a few extra minutes, but the tasty food is worth the wait.
Oh and @david little - your a moron. I think it has more to do with your attitude then where your from. Don't give a place a one star review because your an idiot!
The slam burger is awesome. The place is refinished as a SEAL hangout but during the day it's more of a tribute to those who have passed seats. Nights are a whole different story.
Danny's was rated as the best burger in SD County. And that is no lie. I work nearby and we have gone here for lunch. A burger and a beer.
